I would describe my work to have an eerie and dark feel
without being gothic. I have a slight obsession with derelict buildings,
hospitals and mental asylums in particular.
When it comes to fashion I like the designs that provoke
a reaction; negative or positive. My favourite designers are Gareth Pugh and Balenciaga;
I also find surrealist art very inspirational.
I get inspiration from anything that interests me at the
time, if I see something I find intriguing I’ll take a photo and use it as a
starting point.
In my designs I enjoy experimenting with different
textile techniques that alter the texture as well as the appearance. When
designing I try to create something a bit different by playing around with the
shape of the garment in order to develop interesting silhouettes.
My aim in life is to become a successful designer either
working for a renowned design company or for my own fashion label.
